Daily Campus Tours

Schedule Your Personalized Campus Tour

Walk our lakeside campus with a current student, meet your admissions counselor who’s ready to answer all your questions, and leave with a real sense of what life as a Moc looks like.

Schedule Your Tour

Tours at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday year-round.

What to Expect on Your Visit

Plan on about two hours on campus. We’ll start in the presentation room, end at a table with your counselor, and spend the time in between walking the parts of FSC that matter most to you.

Information Session (30 minutes)

Coffee, water, and a short introduction to FSC — how academics work, what the application process looks like, and how financial aid comes together. It’s the presentation that gives you the lay of the land before you’ve seen any of it.

Walking Tour with an Ambassador (about an hour)

One of our student ambassadors will take you across campus. You’ll walk beneath the Esplanades, peek inside a residence hall, Tutu’s Cafe, and academic spaces. Ask anything. The best parts of these tours are usually the side conversations.

One-on-One with Your Counselor

Sit down with the counselor who covers your area to talk through your specific next steps — what to apply for, what aid could look like for you, and what to do between now and decision day.

Where Your Ambassador Will Take You

Every tour is a little different. Your ambassador will adjust the route around what you care about but here’s what most visits include.

Lake Hollingsworth

Lake Hollingsworth

Our campus sits right on the water. You’ll see students running the lake path before class, paddle boarding between study sessions, and gathering on the lawn at sunset. It’s the kind of setting that makes you realize you could actually picture yourself living here.
The Esplanades and Annie Pfeiffer Chapel

The Esplanades and Annie Pfeiffer Chapel

FSC has the largest single-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in the world, and the Esplanades, covered walkways connecting nearly every building on the historic core, are how you’ll move across campus. Annie Pfeiffer Chapel is the centerpiece. Your ambassador will tell you how students actually use these spaces, not just what year they were built.
Barnett Residential Life Center

Barnett Residential Life Center

You'll step inside Nicholas Hall, one of the residence halls in our Barnett Residential Complex for first-year students, so you can answer the question every student asks: would I want to live here? You’ll see a typical room, the common spaces, and the parts of the building that quietly shape day-to-day life.
A Signature Academic Space

A Signature Academic Space

Where this stop lands depends on what you want to study — the Becker Business Building, our nursing simulation labs, the marine biology facilities, or a fine arts studio. Tell your ambassador what you’re interested in and they’ll route you through it.
Dining at Wynee’s Bistro

Dining at Wynee’s Bistro

You can’t really get a feel for a college without seeing where students eat. Your ambassador will take you to Wynee’s Bistro, our main dining venue, so you can see the space. If you’d like to stay for a meal on campus or grab lunch nearby afterward, just ask.
Wellness and Athletics Facilities

Wellness and Athletics Facilities

From the Wellness Center to our athletic facilities and rec spaces, you’ll see where Mocs train, compete, and take care of themselves. Whether you’re a varsity athlete, a future intramural regular, or someone who just likes a good gym, this is the part of campus that shapes a lot of FSC days.

Tailor Your Tour to What You Care About

When you schedule your tour, tell us what would make the visit most useful and we’ll do our best to build it in. A quick note: availability is more limited during academic breaks; summer, fall break, winter break, and spring break, when many classes aren’t in session and faculty schedules are lighter. We’ll always be upfront about what we can and can’t arrange for your specific date.

  • Sit in on a class in your area of interest
  • Meet with a faculty member or current student in your intended major
  • Talk through financial aid with a counselor in more detail
  • Ask about Honors Program or scholarship interviews
  • Let us know about accessibility or accommodation needs so we can plan ahead
Considering FSC Athletics?

Considering FSC Athletics?

If you’re interested in being recruited or want to explore a specific sport, the next step is to reach out directly to the coach. Coaches manage their own recruitment conversations and will be the ones to coordinate any meetings or visits. You can find each program’s coaching staff and contact information in the Athletics directory.

Plan Your Tour Day

A few things worth knowing before you head our way.

When should I arrive?

About 15 minutes before your tour. That gives you time to park, check in with our ambassadors, grab coffee or water, and settle in before we get started.

Where do I park?

You’ll park behind the France Admissions Center at 121 Lake Hollingsworth Drive. We’ll send the address and directions in your confirmation email after you book, along with a campus map.

Who can come with me?

Bring whoever helps you make the call; parents, guardians, siblings, a counselor. Most visitors come with one or two family members; larger groups are welcome too, just let us know the headcount when you book or by replying to your confirmation email so we can plan accordingly.

Is the tour accessible?

Yes. Our walking tour route is accessible, and we’re happy to adjust pace, route, or stops to meet your needs. If you have specific accessibility or accommodation questions, mention them when you book and we’ll plan ahead.

What should I wear?

Comfortable walking shoes and clothes you can move in. Florida weather is Florida weather; sunny and warm most of the year, occasionally a quick afternoon shower. Bring sunglasses, a water bottle if you’d like, and a light layer if you run cold in air-conditioned buildings.

Can I eat on campus?

Yes. Many families stay for lunch at one of our dining venues. Let your counselor know when you book and we can help you plan it.

What if my preferred time is full?

You can also book a different time or contact us directly and we’ll do our best to make it work.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Just reply to your confirmation email or call us at 863.680.4131. We get it, plans change. Rescheduling is easy.

Ready to See It for Yourself?

Ready to See It for Yourself?

Pick a date that works for you and we’ll handle the rest. You’ll get a confirmation email with parking, check-in details, and a quick form to tell us what you’d like your tour to focus on.
Not Ready to Pick a Date?

Not Ready to Pick a Date?

No pressure. You can also request more information and have your admissions counselor reach out, or get in touch directly if you’re visiting from out of town and want help planning the trip.

Daily Tour FAQs

When should I arrive for my visit?

We encourage you to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour so that you may be able to check in with our student ambassadors that will be taking you out on tour. We want to ensure that you have time to get water, coffee, and feel comfortable before your tour.

What will the information session be like?

We begin each tour with a 30-minute information session that covers general facts about FSC, including academics, student life, the application process, and financial aid. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask specific questions of an admissions counselor once the tour concludes.

The tour time I want is filled. Can I still come to campus at that time? Are you allowing walk-ins on campus?

Waitlist registration is often available for tour times that are currently full. If you have questions or concerns, simply contact us. We thank you for your understanding and encourage you to register for other available time slots and/or join a waitlist for your preferred slot. You are also welcome to take a self-guided tour at any time.

If you have already registered a student for a tour time that is now at capacity, siblings or other students traveling with you will be able to register when you arrive on campus. We do ask that you provide us with an accurate count of your group’s size and keep us informed of changes to the number in your party.

Are virtual options available?

You can view an online information session, hear from current students, attend one of our MocTalks, and even explore campus through our virtual tours. As always, your admissions counselor is happy to help answer any questions you may have about Florida Southern.
